The Tango Skiff design evolved in an attempt to improve the performance of a small, outboard powered boat. The unique transom design reduces the "squatting" common in small boats that use tiller-steered motors and allows the boat to plane with a smaller motor.
The Tango Skiffs can be launched single-handed with a small trailer and can be stored in a garage.
The hull is reinforced with fiberglass cloth and epoxy, creating a strong, lightweight structure.

The Tango Skiffs are built from marine plywood using the "stitch-and-glue" method. This method requires simple tools and basic woodworking skills and a precise fit of the parts is not required.
Warning
As small boats, the Tango Skiffs should be used in protected waters in favorable weather conditions. Do not overload or overpower them.
Proper use is the responsibility of the owner/builder.
